Dear Parents, Coaches, Players, and Supporters,
I am writing to inform you of a significant and heartfelt decision regarding my position at Bold Rangers Junior Football Club.
After much reflection, I have decided to step down from my role as Club Chairman, effective at the end of the current season.
Over the past few months, I have been facing considerable health challenges that have unfortunately affected my ability to manage the club effectively.
The demands of running a junior football club are substantial, and despite my deep passion for providing children with the opportunity to play football, I have come to realise that I can no longer dedicate the necessary time and energy to this role while prioritizing my health.
This decision has not been made lightly.
Watching the children play and develop has been a source of immense joy and pride for me.
However, I recognise that the club deserves leadership with the energy and capacity to navigate the evolving landscape of junior football.
The increasing administrative workload, coupled with the challenges of securing funding in the current climate, requires a level of commitment that I am currently unable to provide.
I understand that this news may cause concern, and I want to assure you that I am committed to ensuring a smooth transition.
This will include working closely with the new management structure in the background.
Additionally, I have been in discussions with an external partner who will take on the roles of fundraising and sponsorships.
This will alleviate the burden on parents and coaches, ensuring that these essential tasks are managed efficiently.
I am pleased to announce that Rachael Halsall has agreed to take up the position of Treasurer. Rachael, along with our external partner, they will continue the work already in place and ensure that the club has a robust, parent-friendly system.
This will help ensure that subscriptions continue to be paid and that those struggling are identified early and receive the support they need to keep their children playing football without undue stress.
I want to express my sincere gratitude to everyone who has supported the club over the years.
Your dedication and passion have been invaluable.
While I deeply regret that my health circumstances have led to this decision, I believe it is essential to prioritise well-being.
Thank you for your understanding during this challenging time. We will keep you informed of any developments in the coming weeks.
Warm regards,
Mark Fairbrother
