Sports Challenge 2024

Sponsorship Form.pdf

Good afternoon everyone.

Well it's finally here the start of the sports challenge. Starting today Saturday 15th September, the challenge will be on until  Monday 14th October 2025 at midday.

The sports challenge is all about having fun and raising money. We are in competition with other grassroots organisations, so we really need to work hard if we are to win the bonus prize of £5000

Don't forget any money raised during this challenge is given back to the club as well as any prizes we may win.

So what have we got going on ?

Penalty Shootout - As a club, you should of by now received a sponsor form for our charity penalty kicks.

5 kicks at your coach, you can be sponsored per kick or just a grand total. Remember as well that if the person sponsoring you is a UK Taxpayer, we can also claim  £2.50 for every £10 raised from the government.

Penalties to be taken by 28th September, money to the club by 05th October to transfer to the challenge or 0900 on the expiry of the challenge, so we can ensure the amount is registered.

If you haven't got a sponsor form, there is one attached to this note

Signed Liverpool Team Shirt - I have a team signed shirt direct from Liverpool FC, which we will raffle. Each team next week will be given a raffle book, so they can sell tickets for £1 per Strip.

Teams are open for running their own events if they wish to, as long as all money is deposited in the sports challenge account before the deadline.

If we put everything behind this, then I'm confident that no other fundraising will be needed this season

What incentives are there for people to get involved?

* Top Fundraising Team - this will be given to the team who raises the most money before the deadline.  The prize will be a team outing for example darkstar/bowling

* Top Fundraiser for the club - this will be given to the individual who raises the most money over the period of the sports challenge.

* The club will also give each team 25p off every ticket from the raffling of the shirt.

So how will we control this.

The Sports Challenge team have set up a donation page for the club. This is were the final figures need to be before the deadline.

To make things easier, if you get any family and friends to donate, they just need to put team, initials of the player and if its for the Raffle (RAF), the penalty kicks (Pen) and if it is a donation to a player (DON) so for example Boldies MF DON, then I can identify who it is and add it to their totals and add it to their team score.  I have the spreadsheet at the ready to keep on top of things.

The club fundraising page is https://www.cashforkidsgive.co...

I have a log in, so I can keep upto date with everything.

If anyone wants to do any bucket collection at work, I do have the labels for the buckets.

I also have a standard letter that you can show people that this is a legitimate challenge.

Team Winners and indivdual winners will be announced 48 hours after the challenge has ended, so I have time to double check all the figures to make sure, we get the correct winners.

So it's up to you now, good luck to everyone and remember enjoy yourself and don't do anything to put you in danger and if asking neighbours, make sure you have someone 16 years or older with you.

Let the challenge begin!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
